A Record of Success

As an experienced community and government leader, I have a record of success.   Here are some of things I’ve been able to do as a leader in Ward 2. 

  • Help save the Garrison Elementary School from closure and helped start the Ward 2 Education Network.
  • Organized a rat summit with district government officials and pest control companies.
  • Worked with congressional, city, business and community leaders to redevelop Franklin School and revitalize Franklin Park.
  • Created the 14th Street Main Street designation and clean team which helped create economic and employment opportunities.
  • Provide direct services to residents in need by helping them find housing, jobs and hope.
  • Assisted members of the LGBTQ community in securing employment opportunities and equal access.
  • Worked with Metropolitan Police Department and other District government officials on neighborhood crime awareness and prevention.
  • Supported dedicated and protected bicycle lanes for 10th and 11th street in Logan Circle.
  • Supported the development of affordable housing and creation of N Street Village in Ward 2.
  • Helped create the Dupont Farmers Market.
  • Advocated for increased funded for renovating senior citizen apartment buildings.
