Ward 2 residents should be able to count on quick, responsive and effective constituent service. I will restore faith among our residents that their concerns matter and that their City Council representative is working on their behalf, no matter how big or small their concerns or requests.

Crime and Public Safety remain concerns in our Ward and I will stay on top of efforts to make sure that Ward 2 is among the safest and crime-free Wards in our city if not the safest.

A large number of homeless individuals still live and roam our streets. I will continue to focus on Homeless Outreach and will propose policies that will provide adequate housing alternatives for our homeless population.

I believe in strongly supporting education and early childhood development. If we reach our citizens at an early age, they can then become more productive residents and feel more connected to their community.

I will support stronger behavioral health and substance abuse treatment and services and will focus on improved goals for public health overall.

I will support and secure more funding for the Office of Human Rights and be a strong advocate for more aggressive hate crimes legislation and more timely investigations.
